The Festival takes place in Mehranghar Fort, Jodhpur. The Fort it self is a legend in it self. It is the largest fort in India ,built around 1460 by Rao Jodha. The festival was started by Mehrangarh Museum Trust and Jaipur Virasat Foundation in a partnership in 2007. The main motive behind this festival is to give a platform to all the Indian folk singers to show off their amazing skills and vocals to the world.
